The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hello All!

I had to take a little pause becouse of health issues, but I'm back now...

I made a promise to make a Thread where I'll share my works so I won't spam the forum, with my garbage.

First of all, I'd like to show you our Xeno Container. It was made for the Weylan-Yutani Scientist costume for HunFoxy.
Some of You may remeber the thread i started moths ago about our chestbusrter model I made.

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13337
We call Him: Bob

And here are som pix about the finished LSCU (Live Speciment Containing Unit)

And some close ups of Bob:

Our latest project was a motion tracker with effects. HunFoxy made the electronic components, using a BluePanther 350V PNA. It has a Windows C Op system so we could easily modify it to our needs.
The Body was made by me. I used Foamed PVC Sheets and PVC pipes,

Here is how it turned out:

And a short video, how it works...:

I hope you like it.
All ideas, comments are welcome.

Willie!

We bought it on E-bay. around 10USD+S&H. The GPS reciever was not functioning, but we didn't need that.
All we did is removeing the plastic cover, and deleting the navigator programs .exe file so it won't autostart. Than there was a pure windows surface. Copy the .mp4 file on the SD card and the video I linked shows the rest. :D

Yes! It is as simple as it sounds...

That container unit looks cool. I like how the glass looks cracked as if the alien was trying to get out.

It was sol long sinc I posted somethin to this forum.

I had some issues with my job, so I had to change. It took some time, but I found my place once again, and I begun to work on my / Our Hobby.

Sorry about that guys, it wont hapen again.

As I last mentioned, I will make a Dropship Pilot helmet for my brother (David Zih A04/TQ0.0.92150E1). So I would like to share the results.
It took me a whole month to finish it, but I think it worth every sec, I spent on it.

So We couldn't afford an original helmet we had to come up something cheap.
Trigger Happy posted a pic abot a cheap Chinese helmet. ( viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13817&hilit=dropship+helmet ) We found it on E-Bay for 50 USD with free shipping.

It looks like this:

Ok now skipp the pretty lady and mov on.

Aftr weeks of research, and engineering (Because this helmet is not identical with the original) I came up with this:

Some awesome paintjob is stil needed but I belive You get the idea.
What do You guys think. Comments, Critics, ideas are always welcome.

Great work on the DS Pilot helmet.
I can only second that the Chinese helmet was a good choice.
The dropship wings make a perfect addition to the flight suit.

It would be nice if you could include list of parts uses as
this the most recent “low” cost build others might want to
use as reference if you are okay with it.

577_ops!

I gladly share it! But I used mostly Plasticard.
For the cables on the right side, i bought bicycle pump hose, 2pcs costs 1 USD.
The two on the left are metal fibre coated bicycle bowden housing. It costs 1,5USD/ 1 meter. I bought both in a simple bycicle shop.
For the mic. boom I used D:2 mm steel wire what I got from a Model & Hobby shop, for abot 0,8USD. The rest is plasticard, a peace of PVC pipe about D:30mm, a bit of model kit sprue and I also used a whole plastic tube, I got from a McDonalds. They used it for as a handle for kid baloons.
I also bought some misc screws and bolts, for 2USD worth and a 30cm long brass tubing for another 2USD and 1m cable for 1 USD.
So all in al my expenses were around 60USD alltogether (helmet included).

Regarding the plasticard, I used 1mm, 2mm and 4mm thick.
If you want to build this helmet, you will nedd 2pcs of A4 sheet 1mm and 2mm thick, and 1 A4 from the 4mm thick.
If you nedd some plans I can make some if you want.

Loving the helmet! That's exactly what I'd planned to do with mine, I just haven't gotten round to it yet.

Wery glad you guys Like it.

If you need anything to make yours just drop a PM ad I will do my best to help.
