 Post subject: Prop Store Aliens Motion Tracker SDCC pics?

I can't seem to find a thread with pics of the Aliens Motion tracker that was on display at SDCC 2013 by the Prop Store. I am aware that many people took photos of multiple angles and was wondering if anyone could share. I am particularly looking to know how the hama release timer was painted as well as the washer area located under the knob. Videos I have seen don't show it well. Can anyone provide a thread or share photos? Thanks!

On the Prop Store version, they left the top on the self-timer. Also, I think the self-timer is painted Brown Bess (black on the Prop Store version), and the silver on the rings is just weathering.

You have to be careful with recent picts. Things go missing/fall off over the years.

Then bits are added/modified to make it complete.


Best reference picts are the ones taken around filming, like the ones Willie posted.


With my dropship helmet build, I found there were several items that were missing in their current
condition. I wanted to build it as seen during filming.

Do you know how much to cut off from a Matchbox power unit to screen match the actual keypad part for the tracker prop? I managed to locate an intact power unit and need to know how much to cut off.

Does anyone know?
