The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hell Yeah! Charlie, your build has been an amazing thread to follow, and a practical guide as well! Great work! You look absolutely bad-ass!

Damn sharp. Even the non-SA parts look like they belong perfectly. Very very nice.

That top shot looks to me like you just stepped out of Lee's Technical Manual! You're rocking some alternate gear and camo pattern, but the little details are spot on. Different planet, different kit. But whatever planet you're on, watch out for the owls. The owls are not what they seem.

Thank you all. There are a few more tweaks I need to do (I forgot to put the belt tools on, the pistol was still in the case) but overall I am pretty happy with it. It's not screen accurate, but it wasn't meant to be. I think the only way to truly be screen accurate would be to replicate one of the Marines we see, and I wanted to do my own thing. The Tech Manual was the big inspiration for how I wanted to end up, and I think it came out well. I'm looking forward to my first combat drop!

And Retro, it's not the owls that worry me. It's the alligator hiding in the mulch (yes, there is one!)

Wow dude nice! Hope NYCC is a blast. I'm not planning on going for 100% screen accurate look either. Are those polish desert BDUs?

Looking good overall! I'm really looking forward to wearing it all for the first time, but I still have a ways to go.
Have fun rocking NYCC!
