Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the Powerloader in the film was 1:4 scale, right? Does this mean HCG's replica is a true "Studio Scale" replica?

It's so amazing how those rod puppets are edited in almost seamlessly . The scene when the alien queen comes down the hall way through the smoke towards ripley going into the elevator always amazed me that it was a rod puppet . Amazing effect work through out that movie . |

Can't wait for this one to be released. I really hope that HCG go to the effort of including lights in the Power Loader unlike the APC that they released. |

Wowza. That is massive. Market on loaders got a lil bit crowded this year! (HCG, Hot toys v2.0, and NECA) |

bughunt10 wrote: Hey guys, Does it look like the hazard warning light on top is functional? <fingers crossed> They didn't include any functional lights on the APC that they are releasing so going by that it may be unlikely. It would be a shame as adding lights would be a relatively easy and inexpensive task and would add so much to the prop. |

In scale effects work they tend to use mobile phone 'vibration' motors for revolving lights on models such as that, so it would be possible, depending how that area of the model is constructed. |

Not sure where this trend of making the front cage too wide has come from. NECA seems to have done the same. |

It should be quite a bit bigger than hot toys at 1/4 scale. Hot Toys will only be 1/6th So if your a huge power loader fan, in order of shear size they go: Konami (~1:30?) < ACM "collectors edition statue" (1:18) < Aoshima (1:12) < NECA (1:10) < Hot Toys (1:6) < HCG (1:4) |

I guess I'll have to be happy with my A:CM version. I picked up a second "collector's edition" for $10 so that I could customize the Powerloader. I've removed it from it's base and cut off the Xeno, but I still need to get the Marine out. Then I'll start having fun... |
