The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hey guys.

I recently (well, within the last few months, anyway) bought a Spulse Rifle kit from Spatz. I have received it, all the bits and pieces are present, and so on.

I was thinking about attempting it myself/with some help, although now I'm thinking I'd rather have someone do it who has done something like this before (I haven't, and I don't really want to mess about with it considering I have no experience.)

What I am wondering is - would someone be willing to build this for me? For a price, of course, I'm not expecting it just to be done for nothing. Anyone interested, or know of someone who might be?

Thanks. :)

Like I said man, I can POSSIBLY do it if you can get it to me, and I can find the time!
Sorry I never got a chance to talk to you at length about it, was A: Run off my feet organising stuff for the party, then B: Dealing with credit card fraud, and C: Slightly tipsy :p

If you could it'd be awesome Scapey, I'd just have to bring it to you - all the parts are still sitting here in the USPS box. :)

And no problem, you had to go do DJ-related things. I did end up talking to Hugh about his Airsoft one (which I thought about originally but I'm not licensed for such shenanigans) and his armour. He's already got me thinking "I could afford £500 for Colonial Marine armour, sure" when I really shouldn't, haha. :)

Common misconception, regarding the laws as relates to Airsoft...
If you want the Pulse Rifle in correct colours, I'd advise you get an Airsoft site membership just to be on the safe side!
Albeit Forbidden Planet were selling the HCG version to people without VCRA exemptions, I'd hate for you to be the test case!

Assembling one isn't that hard. Have you checked out the Assembly Videos?

http://spatcave.com/spulsevideos.htm

They walk you through the process. If you can use a drill and some glue, it's not impossible to get a pretty nice prop out of it!
