Thanks to all here who have helped and have offer help with with advice like Scapey and Osmotic,

Special thanks to my old pal Chef for bouncing ideas off and doing bits like my lamp

And also to Spat man for my BDU'S and to Marcel (Marsattacks) for sorting my headset "Cheers guys"

It's a deac made around 1945 Matt, the gun weights around 13kg on its own, its a 20kg modded carry arm

What's your barrel like, dude?
Mine's a de-ac too, and my barrel was solid steel rebar... Entire gun was about 28kg IIRC!

That's some bar lol....a 1940's MG42 weights in at 11-13 kg with or without the ammo drum
Mine was deactivated by the BIRMINGHAM proof house the barrels wielded in with s split down the middle
Poss from a cutting torch ya can't see it unless you really look

Thanks guys for the great positive comments.. Matt I'll get some pics up for ya soon, and 557 opps I'll send ya a wee pm and how mines put on

It's builds like this that make me wish we could produce our own (licensed?) book about the Colonial Marines. The next big anniversary for Aliens is on the horizon, do you think we could pitch it??

Thanks Craig
I will say to you as will other SG gunners on here will agree its a money pit build and will take time its no quick fix, also being physically fit and a strong back is a must ,but if you do really what to go this route gizz a shout and I'll help as much as I can

Thanks fella, I appreciate that. I've decided to stick to a rifleman for now but may pick your brains on behalf of the brother, who is really keen on lugging 5ft of gun around :P
