I was sitting pondering about the film and the phrase '216' and as I have a dislike of unexplained things I was trying to work out it's meaning and came up with this theory. right firstly 2 + 1 + 6 = 9....................... there are 9 marines heading into the hive, so far so good! then I worked out. 2 Smart guns on point, 1 marine with a Motion tracker online, 6 marines following up! Sounds good in my head anyway!!! |

216 is the formation they adopt... 2 SGs up front... Motion tracker and the rest of the team... |

As much sense as the formation theory makes, they didn't turn the trackers on until they were indoors. When they did, 2 went live. First and second squads each had one (Hicks and Hudson). The single tracker part doesn't mesh up. |
