I've read that Bishop was an Executive Officer/Science Officer, but does he have a rank in the Marines? I noticed he is wearing dog tags in the final scene when he is cut in half, so there should be some type of rank on his dog tag? thanks |

My guess is Bishop's dog tags simply have his model number. As for the rank, it's probably just a mere title-he's really just an extra piece of equipment that helps run the ship and do non combat jobs in order to free up marines for fighting. |

The first initial of each character was their real-life initial, on the excpetion of Hicks and Gorman. |

I wonder why they didn't go with "W" for Gorman? I can understand the use of "D" for Hicks as his first name "Dwayne" is actually revealed as a line in the film, but we never actually hear Gorman's first name yes? Kevin |
