The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

The bugs I got for the display and as I mentioned did not pay full price. There is no way I would pay that much for the cruddy marines. You are better off modifying a knock off figure.

Thanks!

New HIYA stuff on display at Toy Fair last weekend.

http://news.toyark.com/2017/02/18/toy-f ... res-241644

In addition to the APC, Raven and Crusher previously announced, they showed unpainted prototypes of several Predator 2 preds, a Sentry Gun, and new figures of the ACM characters Bella and Redding.

Also they didn't tag it as a product, but the way they display it makes it look like they will be making corridor wall portions for dioramas. Maybe?

dcbservice.com has the APC for $212 plus shipping. I think bbts is $250.

That's actually where I order all my comics and geeky figures. They have really good pre-order prices but only for when the diamond pre-orders are available. They've been reliable so far.

That's good to hear! My next question was going to be "has anyone ordered from them before?".

I received an A:CM Lurker figure in the mail yesterday. I knew the figure was probably crap, but I really wanted the egg and facehugger and I had an Amazon gift certificate that was a year old that needed to be used once and for all, so I ordered this.

I don't know what happened but I wanted the closed egg, which was supposed to come with the Lurker. What I got was the open egg, which was supposed to come with the soldier. The package didn't look like it had been opened, so I don't know what happened. I could return it, but I don't know that I want to bother with that. The figure is "o.k.", but the leg joints seem weak and it has trouble standing even when plugged onto it's base. It also had a clear head dome that was popped off in the package. It's really soft and I don't know if it got hot or what, but it doesn't fit unless you stretch it a little. But even then it slowly "shrinks" and pops off again. For some reason, the xenomorph designs from this game are really disappointing, or maybe it's just the figures, I don't know.

I hope their APC kicks more ass than this thing does. With the gift certificate I only paid $9.95. I'm glad I didn't pay full retail price, but if I had seen this in a store for $9.95, I don't know if I would have picked it up.

Now, the xenomoprh figures HT made years ago, THOSE I like. They don't have the poseability that HIYA's figures do, but they seem more sturdy to me. I love those so much that I have almost a dozen of them!

I keep hoping our local comic store will clearance these figures. Don't care for the Marines but wouldn't look too bad with a repaint

Meant to post these a while back. Since everyone hated their marines so much....here are 3 more!!

All game characters. Same mind boggling color schemes. Just the worst. (I have them preordered...)

I figure I can combine my extra snap kit drake with some of these parts into a decent Vaz. Seems a fair bit of unique sculpting went into each, so good body part variety for customs. At worst they will be APC fillers. This APC better be worth it!

What about the sentry guns, you have those pre-ordered?

I don't think it has actually come up for pre-order yet. At least not through the sites I frequent.
Recently they teased their predator2 offering, but I havent heard any buzz on the sentry gun since their prototype was at toy fair.

I'll def get them on order as soon as I can though.

I'd like to get ahold of the sentry guns and the Predators...but only if the Predators are slightly bigger than the humans, as they appeared in the movies.

I just saw on HIYA's FB page that they have only reached 30% of MOQ (whatever that means) for the APC. I *assume* that means they only have 30% of the orders needed to go into production.

And here I've been, hoping to hear it was shipping out at the end of next month as projected and they haven't even gone into production!

Less than a year ago they didn't even have 30% of the minimum pre-orders needed to get this made, now suddenly they have enough???

I'll believe it when I see it.

Maybe they abandoned their self imposed minimum? Would be nice if they are simply showing confidence in their product and simply running with it.

I mean, if you think about it, the HCG one sold out and it cost twice as much with no moving parts, no lights, and no interior. Despite the high pricetag compared to other 'toys', I think this should do really well even without preorders.

See...that's been my point this entire time, even when I had a pre-order for this!

I just got tired of the back and forth and finally canceled until they bothered to actually produce it.

In related news, I did buy the three Predator figures they just released and am quite pleased with those.
