The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hey all.

I am interested in creating a flame unit.

I have 20 m16 style receivers from the airsoft world so that wouldn't be an issue, my concern would be the front part of the unit, the grip and the rear refill plug.

Any resources for resin parts or guides would be greatly appriciated.

Thank you!

The outer part of the front is an M203 hand guard:

We think the grip/trigger was scratch built.

Concerning the rear gas refill socket, here's a thread with info and pics:

The airsoft M203 handguards are pretty pricey. I recently acquired a small amount of real, and damaged M203 handgaurds if you're interested in any.

I am terribly sorry but I don't remember the original poster of this compilation. If anyone knows I would love to credit them (or if they don't want me re-posting it then I will certainly take it down!). In any case, this is a nifty comp showing the use of M16A1s.

*Does BTS mean anything to anyone? I have the picture saved with the file name citing BTSflameunit.

Not totally sure, but I think I may have cobbled that together, so no problem posting, it if it was me. :?

Not sure what the BTS, of the 'BTSflameunit', means other than that was the original name of the background image, of a screen used weapon.
Guess it was possibly taken from the disc extras and then probably posted on here.

BTS generally means Behind The Scenes, so would match for the original pic taken of the screen used prop. :)
