 Post subject: Alien poster, theatrical or merchandise?

I have an Alien movie poster that I picked up at a garage sale it's definitely old but is there anyway I can tell if its a promotional one for a movie theater, or just merchandise you'd buy at the mall?


I'd have posted photos, but if no one knows I didn't want to go to the trouble since it's kind of big, and refolding posters is always a pain.


Any help would be greatly appreciated. 8)

Majority of movie posters back then were supplied to the cinema as folded; try looking for any small text along the bottom of the poster that would indicate who it was printed by.
