The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi All!

As Bad Rooster and 577_ops requested some more pictures of our home made M56 and Smartgunner armor.

Couple of words about us. We are in a modeling hobby for years, so we get used to, to make everything ourselves. When the idea came up to make a squad, it was obvious to build it with our own four hands, so we could really call it our own.
Zold can do miracles with metal, and my friends call me a wizard of plasticard. So we to make quite a pair. Everything you will see posted by us is 100% handmade, and made by the two of us.

Attila Zold's Steel Smartgun armor:
For this chest plate, we used the blueprints made by David from Central Wisconsin.

This is how it turned out:

Pointing His LOGO:

We did not have a spare patch, so a little finesse and freehand painting solved the problem:

We know it is not 100% SA, but hey! He made the whole costume within 7 days!
Some more pictures:

The straps:

And now for my addition to His gear.
The headset in the making:

And done:

And Zold's wearing it:

The Smartgun.
Materials used: 2mm, 1mm, and 0.5mm thin Foamed PVC sheets, and PVC pipes.
Building time: 4 weeks.
Working parts: Charging handle, stock cover, trigger, removable drum mag.
It can be disassembled for 4 major components, for easier transport.

That is all. Hop you like it.
Any comment, suggestions are welcome!

Thank You!

Great job guys! I can't believe you made the headset and smartgun by hand, that is really impressive!

The name of the gun made me laugh out loud, awesome!

No worries on the SA front, what you've done is all sorts of awesome! :D

Love the delta and Cpl on the strap clips. 8) :delta:

I like the finish/weathering and the little details on the plate, SG headset and the M56.
Caring the chest plate with the Velcro crossed in the back is a very good idea!
Four parts for easy transport of the M56 is IMHO definitely another plus here.

IMHO much better build then the GA M56.

Thanks for sharing.

I am speechless. How the hell do you guys make that stuff lol.

And definately interested in a kit version Akos of the M56 should you decide to start making one. The friend I'm asking for is also part Hungarian so he'd be very happy about that!

He's part Hungarian? Top part or bottom part?

That's some excellent work, Marines. Well done. But I hate to break it to you, "CPL" has two chevrons, not one.

MattRendar!

Zold used 1.5mm thick steel, which he bent to shape to make the steadicam arms. The joint sections were made from steel and brass tubes. It seemed to be a little bit heavy, so the next one will be made from aluminium to reduce the weight of the rig, to ensure it works like the real thing.

Magnus!

Zold and I have been planning to produce these pieces for sale, but we weren't expecting so much interest so soon! But, we're more than happy to meet any requests. If your friend would like, I can make him a smartgun, if he'd be willing to wait for 4 weeks for production, and be willing to pay a modest price for it. He will receive the smartgun in 4/5 major components, as shown in the pictures above. In addition, I'd be willing to do any painting and/or graffiti on the smartgun. All he'd need to do is some minor assembly, and it will still be disassemble-able for future transportation.

Zold is willing to make a steadicam, as well as the belt joint as well. I'd be happy to make any other miscellaneous items necessary, such as the headset camera etc. If you're interested, PM me and we'll work it out.

577_Ops, It's great to hear that the veterans out there feel that my M56 outclasses GA's kit! It's touching to hear such kind words about my work.

Thanks guys for all the positive comments, especially you Sarge! It's really motivated the team as a whole to give it our all!

Thanks!
Akos Szecsi.
