I am in the process of making a Nerf PR myself and was wanting to see if any/many of you guys have made one and wanted to have a look at your work (for inspiration)
Cheers,
G

I had originally planned on doing a pulse rifle out of a Nerf CS-6 Longshot, but after studying it and thinking about the project I figured it looked more like an incinerator, so this is the result: viewtopic.php?p=120481#p120481

Not exactly what you're looking for, but figured I'd throw that out there.

That's looking really good! May I ask where your template came from for the shrouds?

I used these templates that A guy Named "Quest" on the RPF put up a link to :

I made a little more progress last night

I cut the trigger down so it looks more like a real trigger from the outside and installed the trigger micro switch.

Really starting to take shape now :)

Cheers.

a thing of beauty!

Gahhh! I really wish I knew how to use styrene like that! I want to make smaller shrouds and a smaller receiver, but I've never built anything with styrene... nice work!

Thanks Moosh :)
This is the first thing I have made using styrene (ABS) also ... surprisingly, It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Looks really nice! One of the better Nerf builds I've seen. If I may make one small suggestions, on the left-hand side of the rifle (as you hold it), fill in the screw holes. I've used bondo, and then sanded smooth and repainted. Some of the them wouldn't be bad to leave as is, but there looks like a big difference in the numbers between the sides. Still great work with the styrene!

Hey Kitten,
I had thought of doing that but the problem is it renders it unserviceable.
If a led blows or a component breaks etc I wouldn't be able to open the gun to fix it.
Maybe there is a non permanent way I could do it ? ... I will look into it :)

Ah, I can see how that might pose a problem then. The good point would be since all the screws are on the left side, holding the rifle "at the ready" would put that side against your chest (if you're right handed) and they wouldn't be seen most of the time.

LOL ... I thought the exact same thing .... I could plug and cover the few holes that are on the right side so there would be none on 1 side, the exposed side which would probably be a good idea.

Wow, I figured it wouldn't "Nerf" anymore after being modded, but it still works as a Nerf gun, plus the lights and sound effects, that's pretty awesome!

Your Nerf PR is great!
The electronics/FX/SND/weathering/... all done very well.

Thanks for sharing!

This really looks (and sounds!) amazing. The only thing I might suggest (and you can tell me to stuff it) is filling in the hole in the bottom of the grip. That's the only remaining "Nerf" detail that catches my eye, the rest of it looks absolutely in keeping with the Pulse Rifle we know and love. Bravo!
