The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Had my display of Bishop up at Monsterpalooza this past weekend and was able to coerce Lance over for a photo opportunity. As fate would have it, he was signing autographs all weekend. He came by before they let in the crowds on Sunday and hopped up on my table. I had a flash of fear that my table would collapse on him and crush him under the weight of my own Bishop display which is some kind of art imitating life or something of that nature. In any case, the table held and I got a great photo with him!

He liked it. He said it looked very cool and told me to mess up the hair a little more. The display sold to a collector who had Lance sign the back of the head.

That is really excellent! So since it appears that I'm going to be the first one to ask - how much did that go for, a few thousand dollars?

Well done, great photo. 8)

I didn't think, sticking two fingers up was really used across the pond? :?

Probably learnt it from the UKCM.

When you said he hopped up on the table, I thought you were going to tell us he struck a pose similar to your statue!

That would have been hilarious.

Regardless, looks like the whole thing was lots of fun.

Thank you for the nice comments! As far as price, it's rather complex. The buyer is buying it in parts and part of the payment will be materials and future work, so not strictly a monetary transaction.

Sometimes that's the best payment of all! Clearly you're not lacking in talent, but when you meet someone who has a skillset that is different than yours it can be really fun to trade.

Lance is such a caring, genuine guy who adores what the fans do to celebrate his work. I'm not surprised in the slightest you managed to get him over for a little personal photo :)
