The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Noble made a 3D model through Shapeways. Here you go:

My pleasure! Glad to help with a Motion Tracker build, but real thanks to Noble for making the file.

Do we have a list anywhere of the various 3-d models folks have made for their props?

As far as I know we don't...

...but we absolutely should!

Can we get a stacked thread that lists all such useful things? Or is that a bad idea?

All the search engines are so fickle that it can literally take weeks of on and off searches to find parts for a given build.

Corp Hicks,

Did the 3-D printed bracket work for the "pump widget"? I just ordered mine from Shapeways too. Wondered how it attaches to the Motion Tracker and the "pump widget" to it?

I figured to epoxy it to the drill housing. And the "pump widget" bolts onto the bracket.

There is one screw that you use to mount the bracket to the widget, but epoxy is better.

Bracket then bolts to the drill body.

Wow. Thanks Mr. Noble.

So, I had it backwards. Bolt bracket to the drill, then epoxy the pump widget onto the bracket.

Cool.

Thanks very much.

Is there a 3D model of the actual tracker itself out there?

More like epoxy bracket to pump widget to bracket, then bolt to kango body.

Noble,

I'm ready to put it altogether. Do you have a recommendation for epoxy? I usually use the Devcon epoxies - but wondered which worked best for dissimilar materials? Like the plastic from the Shapeways bracket and the aluminum from the Accucare pump widget.

Thanks...

5min devcon is good.

Minor sanding/scuffing smooth surfaces to be glued helps.
