The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Dear All,

Thinking about going for a Snow Wolf PR to start me off before I go for a hero build...

Now, rather than putting this in the Airsoft Arena, I thought I'd discuss it here...

My main concern is the method for attaching a sling...

So the HCG and SD studios parts have welded on or cast loops to attach a nice spanky Noble or Chef sling...

The question is, what have you guys being doing to make a nice, professional looking sling adaptation? I don't want the sling attachment to look 'Heath Robinson'...

Pictures would be much appreciated...

I see Aaron Horrocks has mentioned a prototype he might let people test at Dragon Con... Any thoughts or pictures on this? Aaron? Any chance of a few images?

Cheers All

Well, I've taken a sling loop from a standard Armalite stock and drilled and tapped the sliding stock on the M41a.

The clips on my sling then just go on to this and on to the forward shroud. I'll go grab some pictures for you.

And here we go...

The sling loop is from any Vanilla M4 sliding stock, or M16 full stock.

As illustrated by this eBay link (it was the first one I found).

I'm sure you can find millions of these.

WGC have a plethora.

It's on page 3 how I built my sling points.

I'm an engineer, and an amateur firearms manufacture. The part I made is of steel, from a local machineshop, and I parkerized it myself.
I loaned the prototype out to a girl I met that was cosplaying Ripley. I'll get in touch with her later.

As far as the part, it's tough, and being parkerized, will last longer than any of us. It's also a "drop in" part, and doesn't require any drilling, or dremil work.
I have some photos that I'll post when I announce the product for sale.
I should have a batch of 25 to 50 for sale within a few weeks. If you can hang on, I'm sure that you're really going to dig it.
