The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Have you ever wondered what the USCM Back Bracket was for?

Well, now you know. And knowing is half the battle!

Pretty intriguing as far as a non-sling solution for a rifle (non-PR). I tend to favor an ALICE setup so it would take a bit of imagination to figure out where I'd mount the TUC if I were to ever use it. Thanks for the find! Now I know what shape I should make the 'male' ends of my IMP.

Cool.... although I'm not sure I'd be slinging my Pulse rifle on my back!

I did assume they'd be the mounting brackets for some form of modular hard back-pack or the such like.

In the colonial marines tech manual there is an illustration of a ALICE style pack mounted on those clips

I remember there being a similar setup on my Dad's CB radio in our car.

The more things change the more they stay the same. :)

I have sorted myself out a IMP pack as seen on page 29 of the Colonial Marines technical manual. However I love the thought of a way of carrying another weapon systems.
