The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Last weekend I was FINALLY cleaning out my 'man cave' area by getting real serious in wrapping up various projects. In my misadventures in hobby-land, I had worried I was neglecting my 1:1 props. When I finally cleared things out and got it all out in front of me, I now feel pretty solid!

First up, I am proud to say this collection was built with a LOT of help from members of this community. Thanks guys! Second I will say I am quite positive I won't get the "I'm Dom Baldwin and I approve this message" stamp of approval for this collection!!! (I suspect its just a liiiiiiitttle too "brown"! ).

Anyways, it doesn't come close to the collections of a lot of those posted here, but this is my little arsenal as it stands today.

My Pulses:
Image

-Top Pulse is my "Airsoft Tommy/Hollowed Resin/HGC GL/Balence=Bondo!" build seen here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11603&hilit=pulse+hard+way
When looking at it next to a professional one, I am reminded of the story of James Cameron personally beating on the fresh pulses with a hammer to make them look 'used'. I feel like "mine" is definitely the 'beaten with a hammer' version!

-Bottom Pulse is the Matrix/Snow Wolf I just acquired (too good a deal to pass up) that I promptly gutted and painted. Being lighter I will probably use it for drops and/or let the wife/son tote it around.

Image
Changes to Matrix include:
*Added a spat grenade in place of the shotgun shell
*Closed off the open 'circle' hole in the vent with plastic and then painted
*Removed orange tips (but retained them, in case I want to attach them for a drop)
*Moved vent forward! Its only a 1/4 of an inch, but I think it helps a LOT. I always hated that huge gap between the barrel triangle and the start of the vent on these things.

My Blades:
Image

-1 "legit" Gerber Mk2 Fighting Knife. Circa 1979. (blade not yet 'blued' but its coming)
-1 "legit" Explorer Night Raider knife (feeling 'less legit' knowing the silver blade version 'scalemead' one is more legit  )
-1 "Honcho" resin Geber Mk2
-1 "Honcho" resin Night Raider/Scalemead & a sheath (sheath acquired in trade from Retrograde. thanks again buddy!).

My Sidearms:
Image

-1 Spat Resin VP70
-1 semi-vintage suction dart gun VP70 from Retro's 'treasure discovery" a few months back (leaving it wild colors for safety purposes on my son's eventual outfit)
-1 Airsoft "M4A3" (A $10 walmart find)

My Tracker:
Image

-A HEAVILY modified "global uplink" kit purchased from a forum member here in the PX (loooong before Spat's were avialable). It required a LOT of work and very little of what it shipped with was usable out of the box, but for the price and how much fun I have building crap 'the hard way', I'm happy with it. Still needs some work though.

*Notes
-Shoulder lamp is Matsuo's
-Holster & Grenades are Spat's
-Belt tools are 1 vintage & 2 x '4 barrel' versions (both items sourced through a 'heads up' posting on this board) - My builds seen here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13070&hilit=belt+tools
-Nylon straps/"slings" from Aaron Horrocks

On the order list for a lot of Noble gear, and watching closely for Glenn and Spat's flame thrower kit updates. THEN...I'm pretty sure I'll call it a collection! I'll be honest I don't think I have it in me for a Smartgunner adventure!

Thanks for looking! :delta:

"Hmm where shall I put the hole to pour the resin in... how about the bottom, it gets covered by another part anyway... hmmm... no... I think I'll put it on this ribbed, constantly visible top bit"

What goes through that guys head????
