The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Been working on these guys a long time, and got kind of impatient so I finally threw together what I had.

*EDIT - Simplified this first post and removed out-dated status info*

Version 1.0 = I still need the "correct" Flak jacket/vest (this is an earlier one, not the M1969. But its what I had!), still need to quit being a wuss and just do the graffiti on the gear, and I also would like better bodies and boots...but hey, what can you do? I think they turned out pretty decent and am fairly happy!

Ferro's helmet was the fun part  . (So fun, I decided to postpone Spunkmeyers! )
Originally it was a GI Joe helmet.
Image

A lot of surgery, trial and error, scrap plastic and paperclips!

So my squad grows! Thanks for looking.

Loving the helmet! Amazing what people can do with 1/6th stuff.

Thanks guys! It was def a balancing act of trying to have recognizable 'widget' components while keeping things little. I think overall it wasnt that different than modding out the real one. Just...more tweezers and less pliers

Using non-slip paper clips for the tubing was an inspired choice! It really matches the woven texture nicely. Great job.

Excellent.
Makes me want to pullout the GI Jane Pilot figure I've had so long and start working on it...

An inside joke? Or an amusing story worth sharing perhaps???

In any case, I think I am "done"! I still want better boots but this has sucked out enough effort and money for a while, so they are most definitely going on the shelf where I shan't be messed with! I did get them correct vests, rank and did the graffiti. Makes a world of difference I think.

First off AMAZING JOB!!! Love 'em! :delta:

Ferro's helmet slogan looks spot on!

Yes...

I'm five foot five. In general that makes just about everyone on the board who isn't 12 years old or under taller than me (with the odd exception of some of the ladies here).

So a "Kev is 1/6th scale" running gag developed.

I did a screen accurate Dropship pilot in 2008. Like, for me. 1:1scale. Except to everyone else... it is a 1/6th scale reproduction.

The visor knob should only have two flanges, not four. Throw the whole thing out and start again. 8)

These are amazing man!!! Is there a 1/6th scale rabbit's foot on Ferro?

You know the knob has been bugging me! The way its mounted is an oval peg though. The knobs are oriented straight up and down on the figure, so they cant be rotated without drilling it out. So if I cut the two off, i wont have the V shape, ill be stuck with an L sitting on her helmet. I figured its best not to mess with it for now. AND I actually DO have a rabbits foot! I took some cotton off a Q-tip and trimmed it down, but havent quite figured out the best way to mount it. May end up gluing string to one end and threading it through the top of the holster.

Thank you Osmotic, Kev, Mole, retro and Matt for the kind words. Its been fun!
