The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi
1) if you want cheap polish desert , screen accurate is either spat or soon Chef but lots of money.
2) Armour can be got from Spat or Chef or the there is a Pep file doing the rounds if you want to make yourself.
2) M16 or SA80 is screen accurate, I believe a flame thrower is in the works , other wise any pistol or shot gun you fancy.

Desert is the closer match.

Polish desert camo BDUs are cheap as British and closer to the screen used pattern than the British:

Usually it's file size related. Make sure it's super small

There's about 150 members with the pic below so you may want to avoid that ;)

Weaponswise, there always the good old sawn off pump-action shotgun....M37 for preference, of course.

I don't think I've seen a Coloniam Marine toting an SA-80 yet. Any members carrying one in lieu of an M41A? I'd like to see pics. Been considering getting one but I didn't know where the Tech Manual specs were for it In Universe.

The SA-80 (the rifles concept name) or l85-A1 is in the sulacos armoury shots along with a few M16's so having one is screen accurate I take it you looking at keeping your costs down for your uniform :)

I hear you I looked too and the cheaper ones (tong in cheek) the res ones look a bit crapy to me so I'm building my own. As a few people have said getting a pistol or shotgun will probably be your best bet to get going and I have struggled to get polish desserts myself so just got some of the MTP to get started.

If your not worried about it shooting (and I'm not just want it to look the part) I'm building mine from wood I have started with 3 pieces and a 1.1 picture of the pulse rifle

Avoid most of the eBay ones!
They're likely to be poor recasts and not worth the risk.

A decent PR will cost more than £150, unless you want to build one yourself.

You've got a few options;

Resin kit from Spat: http://www.spatcave.com/spatstore2.htm
Spulse assembly FAQ: http://spatcave.com/riflefaq.htm
Building Video Tutorials: http://spatcave.com/spulsevideos.htm

An airsoft one (approx. £300)

Or even the limited edition HCG official PR (anything over £300-£800)

That's my SA80 in the hands of the second Marine to the left. Cpl Smith and I bought some cheapo springers at DCon about five-six years ago. We use them for "close encounters".

Instead of doing "quick reply" choose "full editor" and then you can upload pictures!

Click on User Control Panel, then on the left look for Profile, and then dit signature. There's a limit on characters, and a common sense rule on size for signature pictures. For mine I looked at long time members and based the dimensions of mine on theirs. Hope that helps!

"Screen Accurate" for background/set dressing. None were ever used IN the film by anyone. :)
