The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Was wondering if you all could help out with a project that I'm psyched to let you know more about when I can. In this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14648

- there was some back and forth about the actual pose of the statue. IF these were to become more available, what pose can you suggest best represents the Warrior seen in the second film. Feel free to show with pics or even action figures. PLEASE keep in mind these would have to be crated and shipped, so spread eagle with tail sticking out would be a challenge.

Thanks all!

Personally I am a fan of the "I'm the alien and I am in the middle of something with my back to you but...what, what is that? HEY YOU!" pose.

Forever capture that "Oh crap" moment where it just noticed you and snapped its head around to zero in on you but its body is still turned toward what it was doing a moment before.

Not sure I described it well, maybe I will post an action figure in that pose when I get home.

As I said in the other thread, if the legs were jest a bit more bent it would match one of the iconic publicity stills from the film.

I think this pose would look good (with the the tail in a different position).

Hands out reaching with a slight bend in the knee, not sure about the tail.

That last picture you posted is the shot I meant Willie! It's really similar to the existing pose save for the bent knees.

Cool - I wish I knew what was going on with the right arm in that pic…

I always liked the pose on the old Geometric kit as well:

You need to find a pose that has the correct ratio of scary-bunny and jazz hands ... ;)

Hey Willie. I think a combination of thee two poses would work - the tail coming from over the back of the head looks more dynamic whilst the posture isn't too elongated so would help with that aspect of the brief.
