The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi guys. I'm sure most of you don't remember me. Its been quite some time sense I have been over here.

I usually make Trek props, but I started a little side project. I finally won the bidding war on one of these, and figured it needed to be replicated, as these are not an easy base to find these days. I'll post more pictures when they become avaliable. :)

I figured there might be a little interest in this. After I get one cast that I am happy with. I will get some lenses laser cut, and print the graphics. I haven't figured out the strap yet. I will try to make this a complete kit, but that may be my stumbling block. My talent is the plastic bits. lol!!!

I can send you my graphics file, I won't be making these anymore.

I suggest molding the gasket around the glass with the watch body.

As for the strap, it is 22mm webbing. I have connections with factories, so they made me some.

I have a roll left from my version 1 watch strap that you are welcome to have.

Very close. I have 10 watch kits ready. Just trying to hammer out a few small details before I can start making them available. I'll try to get more pictures tomorrow to post.

first off i hate clear casting resin. but its jsut trying to mold it so its perfect is a pain. so im trying to cast up a few in Smooth-on and clean it up and then remold it so i have 6 instead of 1.

The only way I have found to cast clear so that it turns out nice is to pressure cast it. That is actually how I am doing these watch bodies. They are tinted clear resin. I use this stuff. It is destructive on molds, but makes a really nice clear part. It does need to be pressure cast however or you get small bubbles in it.
