The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Nitpick: if I were selling something for $2,000 I'd damn well make sure my photos were in focus!

However, it does look pretty awesome, and including the shipping in the total cost is a classy touch.

Wasn't there a member here with a lifesized Queen in his apartment? He needs this!

Did this change? Because it seems to be $1600 + $400 for shipping now (exactly the same as $2000 alone of course).

I have to say that if I had the money and space, I'd buy it!

Thanks for the link Dave! :delta:

$2000?!? That's totally reasonable...

Consider a few hundred dollars in materials, easy... And all the labor involved? Damn I think I need this! :D

Kevin: I meant that by including the shipping in the total price quoted he was giving a much more realistic picture of how much the buyer would be paying. If he had listed it at $1,600 then when you scroll down and see it will cost another $400 to ship it there's an ugly dose of reality. He had me at $2,000; I'd pay $2,000, and then to learn that that includes shipping is a bonus! That's all I meant.

To Aaron's point, I think this is certainly worth this price in labor alone. I really hope it finds a home!

I don't mean to belabour this, but the scenario you describe above is exactly how it looks on my end when I click on the link- it is listed for $1600 and you scroll down to shipping where it says that shipping is another $400. Nowhere in the listing does it say $2000. :?

Please don't interpret this as niggling a point- I'm genuinely trying to say that if it is listed as $2000 with free shipping I don't see it.

PS- totally agree that it is worth $2000. :delta:

It came up just now as $2,000 with a note saying that included shipping. I hit refresh and it changed to $1,600 and his "ship with another item" cost jumped from $100 to $300.

I swear I'm not making this up! I just wish I'd taken a screen grab.

But we all agree that A) it amounts to the same thing, and B) it's totally worth it. Sadly C) none of us has a spare two grand to spend on it...

No worries I believe you Bro. :)

It must have originally been 2 grand and stuck in your temp cache as that for a bit (or... something... I'm just a caveman   ). This is why I had asked if it had changed. Probably as Cosmo said that Esty made him change it.

Hell, wish I had the cash.

But then again, if I had all the cash I needed, I'd right now be the proud owner of the prop Raptor from Battlestar Galactica!

Man, I just moved my parents to California. This would have been worth it for all the damn furniture. It's functional right?
