The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I've actually seen these in real life in my area. Often on the wife/girlfriend, but sometimes on a guy as well.

I just noticed this while skimming through the bluray on my computer, forgive the iPhone pics, I need to get a program that can grab stills of blurays!

A small silver set of scales. Could mean he is a Libra, like me. I can't seem to make out what is hanging over top. Whatever it is, it's gold and appears to be squished flatter... :[

Apone is also wearing a large ring on his right "ring finger". I will work on getting some stills of it. I first noticed it at the breakfast table, but you may be able to see it better when he says "Look into my eye" to Hudson after waking from cryo. I'll check after a bit

Which scene did you get the pics of the scales?

Also, IIRC, Apone is wearing a black stone masonic ring.

Can't really get a better pic as it's so fleetingly on screen, but it looks like a cowbell charm to me.

I would say that is probably something backwards on the screen. Imagine those charms and whatnot, where they are not made of a solid piece of metal, but hollowed out. (To save on costs when making the thing). It reminds me a skull. I don't think I am explaining it well, but here is a picture that might help:

Image

If you see how the back of the skull is hollow, I think what we are seeing on Drake's neck is some kind of charm, but its been flipped around so we are seeing the back.

Could be, but to me it still looks like it's a thin metal object that's been squashed slightly. :)

I'd say it was like a Cow Bell you'd get on a charm bracelet.

I'd say the top is a little too round to be a cowbell, but otherwise excellent guess!

Okay Drake must have been the superstitious type as he seems to have A LOT of "charms" around his neck besides the scales and... whatever the heck that gold thing is (I do agree it is something "backwards" showing the hollow side as SGT Kitten mentioned... but I don't think it's a cowbell  ).

Anyway among everything else, Drake also has one of those "Good Luck Horns" similar to this:

Image

I just watched the bluray; while the "Knife Trick" sequence doesn't show much detail other than the scales, if you watch the "waking from hypersleep" bit (especially around when Drake gets slapped by Vas for saying she is "just too bad"), you can see a lot more of what is around his neck.

Oh and Frost has a tattoo on his right shoulder; don't know what it is though.

If that cowbell stopped a bullet, we'd better start making body armour out of cowbells! ;-)

Hey, uh...

Does Frost have a "kanji" on his shoulder lamp? Or is this a trick of the light. It is like a SPLIT SECOND when he has his back to the camera while handing out weapons in the armory. I tried to find it in other scenes but he never has the back of his left shoulder facing the camera in any other scenes.

Anyone able to get a better screen grab?

It looks a LOT like the same Kanji Hicks has? Surely they wouldnt put 'love' on the backs of two different characters??? Both did have hearts though...
