The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Not sure how long in mm, but here's an SU unit, with the length of the gas bottle shown as a red line and the same length of red line laid from the neck of the bottle to the front nozzle:

From the bottom of the inverted dome on the underside, up to the base of the nozzle where the fuel tank meets the body of the flamer, it looks to be approximately 15.56".
This is based on both the dimensions of the 58 pattern webbing clip (one of which I have right here) used on the SA sling and on the inch rule along the bottom of the pic, allowing for a slight distortion.

I'm sure someone was selling one on the RPF a while back. Was going to pick it up. But then saw Shawn is doing a newer version.

Have a look there buddy.

Also, that's an M16 type carry handle/sight on the top.

But as I said, there's an inch rule in the bottom of the pic ;)

Chris I think you're misunderstanding Woody's comment about the carrying handle. My interpretation of what he said about the carrying handle was simply it's another option as something of known size you could scale the picture from.

As for the "Trigger Grip" looking like something out of a Mechanics Workshop it probably is, from the Baptys Armourers Workshop. ;)
