The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Good point :)
I can only imagine how different that scene would have been if certain forum members had been present ;)

So you're saying Emily Blunt is gonna be in a film, with some other people maybe in the background?
Goody good! :)

So uhhh... Starship Troopers meets Groundhog's Day?

It's either going to be unbelievably cool, or completely suck donkeys.

Although it will be interesting seeing Paxton in essentially Al Matthews role. :delta:

True! Too bad he didn't last long. Seems that whenever he's a military/law enforcement type in a film... he dies. :)

Slashfilm.com article wrote:
Looks like Warner Bros. is really going to keep the title All You Need is Kill for the Doug Liman-directed sci-fi thriller starring Tom Cruise as a soldier who is killed during his first few minutes of battle, but finds himself reliving his last day over and over again. The common description for the film has been Groundhog Day meets Starship Troopers , and though the script went through some rewrites to accommodate Cruise, that core idea remains the same. Sounds like Cruise starts off as an inexperienced officer (think Lt. Gorman, from Aliens) but becomes a hardened battle vet thanks to his looped final day.

Sooooo... I'm 50/50 on Tom Cruise... and I'm still not 100% on the storyline...

However that mechsuit looks to me what Starship Troopers "should" have been. I can totally envision Heinlein's Mobile Infantry wearing that. The forearm guns look a little wonky to me in that shot though.
