The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Wow that armor just looks amazing. This thread has been very inspiring in helping me get my first build up and running!

I was out classed by a crafty wizard...

...and man-handled by a pair of Arcturians.

Six hours in the full costume taught me I need to adjust the placement of the adjusters on the suspenders I use to keep my ab pad in place. They ended up on my collar bones and the weight of the armour really pushed them in. I ended up with a pair of welts...

The other lesson learned is that my hack pouch needs to have the strap adjusted. It's too loose and makes the whole thing droop forward. You can see it in the photos above, it really looks sloppy to me. If I'd taken it off I think my costume would have looked a lot smarter. Oh well, lesson learned!

I sent that photo to Ricco Ross and he wrote back: " Ha, Ha... Hilarious.... You lucky thing! Thanks for the pix." So that was a cool way to start the day!
