Hey Guys Just received my M41A Manual from Mr Baena. Worth every penny I think. After seeing them on Ebay I actually thought they were no longer available but lo and behold here it is. The quality and amount of effort that must have gone into producing these is phenomenal. Glad I finally have one. Cheers Darren |

What?! You mean he's still out there? I thought he went underground (meaning, he seemed to have dissapeared). "How lucky are the few who know where they belong." |

Depending on how far you got I think you should go ahead and release it yourself Mike. I'm sure there are enough Motion Tracker owers here who would love to see a manual for it. Harry |

Hello All. Thanks to Darren Kemp, I’ve found this place again. As you have no-doubt noticed, manuals have begun to start trickling out again. Three years ago I started a new job that requires considerable global travel. I was fortunate to spend the Holidays at home and had the time to start producing manuals again. Things are settling down quite a bit (travel wise). No longer will I be gone months at time. More frequent short trips are now the norm, so I will be able to once again start producing manuals on a somewhat regular basis. I have also just recently decided to re-design the poster with a new hi-resolution picture and a lighter background. Please note that several e-mail changes have made contacting me difficult. My stable address is. derrick@wammt.org. My 3 year obsolete CompuServe address is still floating around in cyber space. Don’t use it, it’s completely dead. Thanks for the pictures Darren! Derrick |

Oh my. Perhaps a friendly reminder of how much these beauties will set us back? And if the PR manual is as good as I've heard, I'd say that Motion Tracker, Flame Unit and Smart Rifle manuals come next! "Your quality will be known among your enemies, before ever you meet them." |

Post subject: | Re: M41A Manual |
"Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in." Sorry guys, I'm still doing the global tour. Should be home in a week or so. Here's the updated Pulse Rifle Poster and Manual info: POSTER: The M41A Pulse Rifle poster is a large one; measuring in at 37x24". It is in full color and custom printed per customer order. The M41-A represented in the poster is an actual/exact working replica, not a resin model. It is depicted in 1/1 scale (actual size) and shows both left and right sides in detail. Two smaller views are also included that call out and list the rifle’s various components. On the right margin full specifications can be found to include detailed cross section/cut-away views of the 10mm and 30mm cartridges. A United States Colonial Marine Corps emblem and camouflage background are also used to enhance the poster's authenticity and connection to the famous Aliens film. It is both and awesome addition to any Aliens collection and a truly unique piece of art to be hung on the wall of you favorite room. The posters are priced as follows: Standard glossy: $120 Premium glossy, (scratch and tear resistant): $175 NOTE: UV ink is no longer an option, so be sure to use UV resistant glass. Shipping is $8.00 (inside US, 2-3 day priority) and includes a sturdy poster tube. Yes they are expensive, but this is due to the large size, detail, and that they are custom printed per order. MANUAL In addition to the poster, I also offer the ultimate M41-A companion; A 72 page military format field manual. The manual has been designed to resemble an authentic military field manual. Although it has been modernized somewhat to represent an FM of the 22nd century, you military vets and aficionados will recognize its format right off the bat. I've incorporating the look, colors, language and overall layout. Chapter 1: Introduction Chapter 2: Operating Instructions Chapter 3: Ammunition Chapter 4: Assault Fire Requirements/Positions Chapter 5: Accessories Tutorial: Detailed Photos of my personal M41 Each chapter is fully illustrated with tables and figures listed throughout the text. I address everything in detail not just vague phrases that sound good. Included are rifle specifications, service variants, principles of operation, and step by step operation of both the rifle and grenade launcher. There are also detailed descriptions of various 10mm and 30mm cartridges to include cut-away views. I also introduce several different electro-optical accessories and depict their installation and use on the M41A rifle. This guide has been quoted by one prominent Aliens collector as "THE ULTIMATE companion to the weapon we all know and love". All images are original, (except the M41 of course) and designed/drawn by me. They are fresh and never before seen. The manual with standard color cover is $100. Like the poster, the price of the manual is steep. It represents a tremendous amount of effort, and each one is custom printed. From the reviews and gossip I've been monitoring on the web, it is apparently well worth it. The above price includes binding a CUSTOM BACK COVER and shipping (within the US only). The owner can specify any name, rank, serial number and mailing address. You can choose your favorite Marine such as Cpl. Hicks or Pvt. Hudson; or put yourself on the cover, it’s your choice! The information is incorporated into a simulated department of defense mailing label. I can also add unit and company badges, seals and logos at additional cost. Other options include: Custom clear Dust Covers with USCMC Shield and your name, rank and Serial No. = $15.00 You can also specify custom artwork for the clear cover (in lieu of the USCMC Shield) =$30.00 Three Hole punch for your 3-ring binder, $3.00. I also offer a 2 sided 8.5x11" data card that's a must have. = $20. Again, shipping is included (USPS 2-3 day Priority within the U.S.) Shipping for International customers is a flat $30 (includes up to 4 manuals). Personal checks and Certified funds are accepted, (Personal checks will be held to clear). Money Orders or Cashiers Checks are preferred. I also accept PayPal. E-mail me for payment address or PayPal ID Thank you for your interest! Derrick |

Derrick, Can you confirm that you, or someone you know has been selling copies of your manual on flea-bay? If not, I think you should be aware of ebayers who maybe reproducing: 1. Markprojectteam I have seen at least 4 copies of the manual sold by this guy. The next is simply one to keep a watch on. Ive only witnessed one copy up for sale so far, but he does normally sell Aliens related stuff in numbers. 2. macel70 (Although, strictly speaking, the last is a live auction, it is selling for the same as Derrick is offering here and we know that his is genuine, it should therefore not cause any kind of bidding war between any of us) |

Thanks guys. I'd appreciate any assistance to keep an eye out for illegal copies. The best I can tell is that the "Markproject" guy is selling the first edition manual. I left several warning messages for him through e-bay and have received no reply. This early version was never for sale. I made a business arrangement with Steve Dimzo way back in the 90's that it was only to be issued with an SD Studios Rifle. I cannot tell if it is a copy or an original. The only other digital file I released was to Phil Steinschneider as a personal favor. The live auction looks like a current production manual. It's the Rev A that contains much more information, detail and artwork. To be sure, I sign every copy before it's shipped. If it's not signed, it's not an authorized/authentic manual. Thanks for your help guys!! Derrick |
