As the title says!

I am cutting down a Remington 870 (or rather getting a certified gunsmith to do it for me), and need to know the correct length to specifiy.

Could somebody measure theirs for me please???

Will you be using a real Spas 12 cage?

Phil Steinschneider's site should have enough reference pics for you, if nobody else has the exact measurements:

props.steinschneider.com/pulser/pulpic01.htm

Pages 4, 6, 8 and 9 show various views of the 870/grenade launcher, including side shots showing the trigger at the end of the cage, so it should be fairly 'easy' to get the right length, depending what sort of front GL block you're using.

Yeah, real steel SPAS and 870.

I'm not willing to guesstimate with pictures as this is going to cost me a bit of cash to do and cock-ups cannot be make.

Anyone with real steels please chime in to help out a fellow grunt!

My M870 barrel is 165mm long (measured from the front of the receiver). This makes it stick 11mm out of the front block or 21mm from the forward end of the SPAS shroud.

Cheers,
Stefan

Just remember, you can always cut it long, and then remove material if it's too long. If it's too short... you're buying another barrel/cocking tube. :)
