I bought a face hugger kit and started the build today. I thought this was the perfect place to share some progress pics. Here it is, trimmed, assembled and milliputted at the seams. I heated the tail area and created a few curves to add a bit of life to it, otherwise the straight tail looks like rigamortis has set in. I'm quite pleased with how it's shaping up so far: ![]() ![]() Nest, primer then paint. I'll share some pics of the paint up when I'm finished. Al |

Outstanding! The curve of the tail is a huge improvement. |

What glue did you use ? I had bought an Alcyon one long ago but could never have it glued... |

I use superglue with vinyl kits, it works really well if you gently heat the 2 parts up before gluing and apply a little bit of pressure as you join the parts. Painting has begun this morning - here it is with a couple of coats of first warm flesh, then pale flesh acrylics. I'm going to build up lots of layers to try and achieve an organic, lifelike look to the skin: ![]() Right, it's the wife's birthday so we're off out - can't be playing with face huggers all day or I'll find myself in a real horror story. |
