Im interested to know what type of belt is used to hold up the marines pants. Ive looked over a lot of ref pix but can't find a belt that was used under all the armour and webbing. Has someone got the info on what is used if any belt at all.

BDU pants?
1" web belt. Standard issue since before WW2, still in use today.
Officially called a 'M-1937 Enlisted Mans Web Belt', but many terms are used to describe it.

Looky here:

Many, many other places sell these. Amazon have loads from lots of sellers.

A modern alternative is the current issue USMC "MCMAP" Belt, which I think looks pretty good. I'll take photos this weekend.

If the MCMAP is the same one that displays upon Googling, it looks almost nothing like the screen-used ones...

OP's choice as to whether he wants Screen Accurate or not.

Closest I could find was 15 pounds shipped to AUS :(

I think I originally paid $7 plus 15 for shipping to the UK, before I found a native source :(
Are there any WW2 kit suppliers in AUS?

I use a 5.11 tdu belt in coyote tan colour. Its not screen accurate but looks good on my BDUs and does the job

It's khaki? Bah, I always thought it was Olive Drab. I bought an OD one.

Probably as long as it isn't pink it will be just fine! 8)

WW2 'Khaki' is a military colour, designated OD-3.
WW2 Olive Drab (OD) is a military colour, designated OD-7.

You can have 100 precisely designated OD-3 items and NONE of them wil be the exact same colour... in fact, most will vary tremendously. Same for OD-7. :D

IMO, either version works perfectly fine! :)

I guess I'll let that be the ONE part of my gear that isn't screen accurate. 8)
