The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Right, well I thought I might as-well start a thread on my PR build.
As always, I am penny less so this is going to be a loooooooooooong build, unless one of you kind people sends me a Thompson :D

Currently I have a set of Matsuo shrouds and a G&P kit spas. The shrouds are currently sitting in my old bedroom at my mums waiting for me to pick them up now we've moved so I've only got a few pics of those (before I re-touched with scratches etc):

I've repainted the spas to fit in with my shrouds (i.e a bit battered). The flat black I used is barely a shade darker than the actual plastic used on the spas but it gives a great dull metal look.

I also constructed a front block out of a cake box and a bit of old BB gun:

Well that's it for now! I told you it would be a long process...

You're doing a great job! I'm impressed that you are scratch building the Thompson parts as well, that's quite an undertaking.

Its too weak to hold without fear of it crumbling so I'm hoping I can get one of your airsoft Thompson's before the world ends.

Wow, that is really impressing! The Pulse Rifle is, beside the smartgun and eventually the Morita from STARSHIP TROOPERS the coolest weapon used in a SF Film done today, it is a really "Cult Weapon".

Scratching the whole thing is beyond belief, and the weathering is very well done!

Thanks Frank!

To be fair most of the weathering on the shrouds was like that when I got them (was one of the main reasons I bought them), I just added the silver scratches and a few other scratches with a Stanley knife.
I'm quite proud of my Spas weathering though, looks very real in person :)

Thanks for the kind words :)

Update Time:
I've done a bit of work to get the grenade launcher in place and also added a grenade into the breech; which moves forward when racked forward instead of the breech cover just moving over it. :)

I'm trying to figger out the best way to mount a trigger into it and I'll update again once I've sorted that out :)

Cheers Al! Me too! ;)

Well I'm kinda stuck on this now until I can find something to make the barrel vent and stock out of (my usual cardboard wont cut it!).
Might try and trim the mag....

Tiny update time folks!

After ALLOT of hassle, I've installed a 'working' trigger to the nade launcher.

Still after a stock and barrel vent though, kinda stuck without em :(

Update time again!

First off, a HUGE thank you to DKmax for trading basically everything I needed with me, your a gent sir!

Well here she is about 90% done.
I'll be painting the stock and front vent/triangle black later on today and I'll be trying to figure out how to de-green the pistol grip also.
In the mean time, here she is :D :
