My pulse rifle got a little bloody and salty after a large airsoft
operation. (www.oplionclaws.com)

I wasn't planning on using her, but I was having problems with my
CA scar (mid cap problems) So, I rocked out with the PR for most of
the weekend. On sunday I got hit by a sniper at close range. I'm trying
to believe it was an accident.

So now I have my blood on my baby, and what looks like salt from the
saliene wash.

Here's some picts of me.

BB still in my face.

Image

BB extracted.

<span style="font-size:large;]Question,

I'm all healed up. (black eye for a few weeks)

Should I clean up my baby? or leave her battle-damaged?

Well those last two pics scored a 9.5 on the ouch-o-meter.

As for the question in hand, a bit of blood on a PR, no problemo as long as it doesn't start to get a bit on the funky side if you know what i mean.

Ouch!!!
Luckily the bullet didn't slip under your glasses!
Get well soon!

PS: I know the cooless factor sucks, but a full mask could have avoided this.... ;)

Yep, I won the "best death" trophy of our squad

by a landslide.

Going to make a lower mask solution for the next time.

Ever since I saw a kid get his tooth shot out, I always wear a full face mask for skirmishes.

I hope that the person was throw out off that site.

That looks very painful. In the UK you must be 30 meters away and the single fire bolt action weapon must be 500 FPS max.

That looked very close range or a lot higher than 500!!!!

I would clean the PR. That just me as I clean each gun of mine with silicone spray and have a full weapon strip.

I hope you get better soon.

Your patience is commendable. I would have given the little twat a rifle butt across the face for that, lmao.

Speaking as a site organiser, "An eye for an eye", whilst most folk's initial reflex reaction, helps nobody... And if a player smacked another on my site, no matter how justified they felt in doing so ( And how much deep down I agree with the reaction ) - Reason has to win over emotion, and I'd reluctantly be forced to ban the player who definitely HAD deliberately broken the rules, as opposed to the person who MIGHT have done so accidentally.

That said, the sniper in question would most definitely find his rifle relegated to the boot, and his fps level restricted to probably a ceiling of 328/.2g... At the very least.
Depending on his attitude, and sincerity if apologetic, he'd be looking at anything from sitting a round out up to going home and being told not to let the door hit him in the ass on the way out.

Nice Wiley X's. I love mine, but the mesh full face mask is probably better.

I've known John Lu, the organizer of Lion Claws for years, and he's real strict on safety, I would imagine there are chronographs like in paintball, what happened there bro? Did someone slip past the chrono? Or, was it just hot and the temp raised the velocity? (I've not played airsoft, and don't know if the same sets of circumstances apply to airsoft as to paintball...)

but, OUCH!! That looks like it hurt!!

Nasty, though in the end rather lucky & thankfully it`ll heal up :D

As for the PR ,I say clean it. After all you want the weapon in Tip Top fashion.Maybe effect worn look at the areas the blood splattered (for rememberance)?

In all the time I`ve Airsofted, the worse (game wise) I`ve seen is a face in lumps & my wife sprayed her m4 across a guys forehead whilst he was hiding in the grass.

None game wise, the worse I`ve seen is a direct hit to the eye,for 2 months it looked bad but thankfully the eye recovered.

Anyway accidents happen,if that is the case. Though yea a Full face mask is a better piece of kit to have.

Does the site Not have a NO HEAD shot policy too?

<span style="font-size:medium;]HOLY FRACK!!!

Matt! You alright?!? Those photos are making me cringe... that is a freaking entry wound my friend! Do you have any idea how lucky you are?!?

Who the hell was shooting a sniper rifle at that close range and what sort of plastic BB penetrates like that?

Unfortunately I would be playing with a full-face mask after an incident like that.

Glad to hear you're alright though. :)

Unreal.

I never understood why people buy Wileys.... I wore my issued pair once in Iraq, and after that and the eyeball sweat that pours out when you take them off for a minute, no thanks..... I have to agree, the fullface mask would be a better idea. (plus, there are always a$$4oles like me that bring a hex wrench to the games lol!) horraaayyy! paintballs that tear skin without having to be frozen first! (I think we play sometimes too rough in the army!)
