"M-41A pulse-rifle" is how it appears in the script... If its in the script as m-41a... then that... is CANON. However I have always prefered m41-a myself...

Does the text M-41A pulse-rifle occur anywhere in the movie? There is also 'smart-gun' in the script. Why do you think the hyphen has been lost? Any grammar experts out there? I personally prefer "M41-A Pulse Rifle." Gramatically, MS Word red flags "smartgun" but lets "smart-gun" by. In the "Official Movie Book of Aliens" published by Starlog in 1986 (I know Starlog's not the most accurate of "news" magazines...) they list the SG at a "Smart-gun" with a capital "S". In the same publication they list the PR as the "M-41A 10mm pulse-rifle" (Note: pulse-rifle is also hyphenated!). Russ
