The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Great work Darren, it is quite an achievement to produce a half hour fan film. Well done to all involved.
Especially Wierzbowski himself!

looks good did enjoy watching it although a few small gripes
mainly the lack of urgency of the marines, i.e were under fire so lets take 5 mins to question who it is and not put them under fire, if the buildings gonna blow leg it etc
i just dont feel like the marines are marines
2 vs 1 basic strategy is 1 supresses the other flanks

Darren.

It was a pleasure to be apart of this project. So i must thank you ever so much for the opportunity.

Secondly, even though no one had any military training and excuse me if you have. You all did a wonderful job. Just top notch. Marines, Aliens and Scientists.

Thirdly, i need to thank you Darren and all, as i've made some close and personal friends through your production as well.

Finally. It's the best bloody fanatical film i've seen in a very, very long time. I'm so proud of the work that you have done, others and myself have collaborated. To make an amazing Aliens fan film.

So therefore i stand and raise a glass to Darren's movie and to those and all who took part in making this happen.

Well Done, Darren
-Callum

Woah! Incredible!
You all did a top notch job on that one. My favorite part is the gateway station animation right at the start (and again later on). It gives a lot more sense of depth than the original matte painting.

Cheers,
Stefan

Usually I'd just ignore such a comment, as everyone else clearly has but, Steve, critiscism is a bit premature at this point. Would it hurt you to say "congrats" or "well done" and leave it at that?
Let the man enjoy his moment and have a bit of common courtesy.
You're no Roger Fucking Ebert. And stop making out you're some kind of military man. You're not.

Well done to all involved. We achieved what 95% of people who set out to make a fan film fail to do,actually have a completed film.
I loved being involved thanks Darren for writing me into the script.
Steve give it a rest.

Absolutely amazing, so much time and effort must have gone into making this and it shows. :D

It is in keeping with the original movie, with a distinctly British slant!

The story, the music score, the locations, the filming, all of the post production has really come together to make a superior fan film.

...and you got two members from the original Aliens film involved, not fricking bad. 8)

Karyn and I are very privileged to have been involved with such a great project and such a great bunch of people.

As Vito pointed out it was great fun, we got to work with some old friends and we have met some fabulous people that we may not have if it wasn't for this film.

Congratulations Darren, you hung in and got the job done, I'm sure we only saw a part of the effort that went into making this but it has certainly paid off.

I'm sure now it is out it will garner some criticism, but I would say to those people.....................

Try to make something like this yourself, it ain't as easy as you might think!

Right, I'm going to watch it again!

I'm very proud to have been part of this and like (nearly) everyone else has said, a very heartfelt well done to all involved.

I think Andy G hit the nail on the head in terms of pointing out that it's not only a great deal of work, organisation and commitment to shoot a film like this (let's face it we had to shoot on the rare weekends when all of us were available) but to actually complete all the elements after the cameras have stopped rolling and release it as a final version is a wonderful achievement and a testament to the camaraderie and skills of all of us here on the Aliens Legacy and beyond.

It seems like a distant memory when we started shooting back in 2008 would you believe so to have come this far and see the project complete is a great thing!

Sequel anyone? ;)

Harry

I'M SO IN!

On another note this was amazing! I truly enjoyed this film and I thought the acting, directing, set decoration, CGI and generally everything was amazing! Hats of to Darren and the rest of the crew for putting together a very fitting tribute to Aliens.

If the chance comes up to do something like this again I am at your disposal

Like the UKCM.

I really enjoyed the preview screening at the NSC and have been waiting impatiently for the last bits of spit and polish to be finished. :)

I've currently got it burning to DVD, so I can watch it on my big TV. 8)

I have to say I freakin love it, best fan film I've seen in years, just wish I could have been part of it, maybe in the sequel hint hint.

Oh can I just say that I was watching it on my Internet ready TV and the wife 10 mins into the story turned to me and said and I quote " I don't remember this part in aliens " so I spent the next 10 mins explaining its a fan film, oh well at least I got to watch it again after lol.

As I've heard the Brits say...

"Bloody Brilliant!" :)

Good to see the little tech touches in place with the dropship. Details like that really bring a film like this a step above the average fan film.

Well done!

My jaw hit the floor when I saw this. Darren, and everyone involved, have done something amazing. Like mentioned above, some guys go out to make a fan based film and don’t really pull it off. This however, has the feel and dedication of Aliens.

You can safely hold your head up high marine, you have done us proud. Sequel perhaps in 3D? 8)

Anyone help on how to burn a copy on DVD would be most appreciated as I am as useful as a paper doorknob when it comes to stuff like that.

I copy the YT URL into this:

http://keepvid.com/

That then produces several filie links. I selected the 720P MP4.

Then I used DVDFlick:

http://www.dvdflick.net/

to create the DVD. 8)
