The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I don't know how many of you were aware, but Kev 'Osmotic' can no longer wear his armour due to a medcial condition. As it was Kev who I first made contact with this group through, when he invited me to show my Nostromo interior models at the event in Telford last November, he gave me first refusal on his armour. I therefore purchased it off him and it arrived at my house a few days ago.

Fortunately, Kev and I are about the same size, so his armour fitted me well when I tried it on the other night. This is the only pic I have of it at the moment, but I will get into full kit over the weekend and post some pics so I can see what needs adjusting, and for people to comment if they so choose.

Much better than my old Football shoulder pads eh Master Sergeant Baldwin :-)

Pics of yesterday's test-wearing of my newly-acquired armour. The light was terrible (using the flash just washes out the armour) so these are not particularly good pics, but the idea is so I can see what needs adjusting. The shoulder epaulettes are only fastened middle and rear, and they tend to hang towards the back as soon as I moved my arms, so I'll need to devise a front-fixing. Other than that it seems to fit okay.

Devising a front-fixing should be easy enough, drill a couple holes and use a round bootlace or cable tie.

Cheers Mike, it's the nearest I could find to the one Hicks used at a sensible price. Is it you that's commented on my Fb post in the RPF?

I've added some graffiti to my armour. Seeing as how some of the graffiti posted in the Show Your Armour thread was humourous, the UK guys in particular should recognise the one on the back as being my homage to the Fast Show :-)
