The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Ive been busy retooling my molds, just in case you were wondering what I've been up to and where I've been.

I have been growing increasingly unhappy with my smargun kit so I am in the process of retooling a vast majority of the components.

The front half of the receiver was the hardest so I did that first. The rear half I did last year so its pretty fresh.
Ill be doing the pistol grip and top cover next. I may do a shoulder stock as well for those who want a regular mg42.

I thickened the front end up considerably, its much more rigid than my previous front section.

I also retooled the muzzle and thickened it up a whole lot as well, I drop metal inserts in the tabs to add to the strength and I made the mold tubular and thus seamless.

Image

I've got a few guys waiting on parts kits and full guns and appreciate you sticking with me. I beg your further paitence... it will be worth it believe me.

More to come soon.

M

Thanks for the compliments!

I'm kind of at odds as to weather I will offer a plain mg42 or just stick with the smart gun. The only parts I'd need are the stock, grip plates and rear sight. I've decided for sure not to try the bipod, it's too complicated and possibly weak to try and replicate in resin, plus there are still surplus ones about.

Eh ... The thing bout retooling a portion of a kit is that the new parts make the old parts look bad so you wind up retooling the whole thing... It aint fair I tells ya. :(

You really are a master Matt, still drooling over the shoulder lamp I received from you.

Best of luck with the new Smart Gun version, looks awesome as always.

It's the curse of the perfectionist and a blessing to the recipients. Fantastic upgrades!

Got a chance to check out the Version 2.0 smarty at DragonCon this weekend. It was pretty much like holding sex. The number of improvements over my older version is incredible. Just thought I'd put that out there.
