The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

after a 5 year wait, and missing out on 3 of these on ebay when i was unemployed for 12 months.....................today was the day i bought something i have been wanting for 5 years..................

a pulse rifle.

now i was going to go with spat for the price, but figured after import duty, postage and paints and materials i would be looking around £275, then i considered the icons but they seem to float around ebay for £300 to £400 and again it was resin which i didnt really want. so the choices were looking like hcg pulse rifle.......now price seems to go around £550 on these on ebay so a little out of my price range for a lump of plastic even tho they look nice. i have seen 2 g and p kits on ebay in 18 months but no good to me without the main part to assemble them to.

now comes last night, sat on the rpf and a "g and p conversion kit" goes up for sale and it was in the uk, great i thought but i just need a thompson :( which i didnt have or knew of any for sale. then a miracle happened as the seller then told me he had a thompson he would sell me.

sunday *today arrives) the flinging of pms back and forth with my limited knowledge of airsoft stuff and we agreed a price, now i wasnt going to risk royal mail losing it so a 250 mile round trip and i have it all in my hands:

oooooooooooo i cant wait to get into this little lot :):) as this was the ideal kit i wanted and didnt think id get it

NIIIIIICE!!! My G&P kit is one of the best hings I've bought, I love it! - A word of advice on the build though......take it slow and if you can, run a tap or small bolt through the m3 threads before final assembly as a couple of mine got tight real quick and the allen screws do round off easily......... otherwise.....ENJOY!!

ive found a nice how too, so ill go with a fellow marines how to rather than the cd with it. im looking forward to eventually having metal parts if they are still produced - if not ill live with it, i have 2 led counters in the box, already stripped the thompson back - 2 parts were problematic.....the slide bolt was all loose which is now retightened, and the front barrel had snapped from its bolt points to the main trigger body - luckily that bit isnt needed.

did have a litlle accident tho, i pressed the trigger whilst it was pointed at the sofa which resulted in a bb shooting through my leather sofa - what a knob i am...... good job im single and live alone or id be eating out of a dog bowl ;)

What's the point of having a cycling M41A and not let off a few!! (oops on the sofa though!)

I think Steve (PVB) did a very detailed how-to on the kit :)

I wish someoe would sell everything but the shrouds, they're the only bit I have!

Bad luck with the sofa, but it's a PR so it's worth it! ;)

I'm looking forward to seeing her all built up. It should look awesome hanging up next to your armour.

Beware though, as during mine I used some of the external bolts for internal fixings (due to the rubbish pics on the CD). Read through the whole guide and work out how many of each type you need, then check again.

BTW, the HCG is mainly metal, including aluminium shrouds, not plastic, which the G&P is. :)

well with a few bits missing its built. re rigged the battery as it all looks horrendously tight. led counter is zero, 95 when a mag goes in, and it counts down as it shoots. my marine is no longer naked:

had to rework the internals to allow the rear to slide due to the missing bits, also took the shotgun shell and stuck a machined grenade in there.

wasnt easy to do but it wasnt hard - in fact the difficulty was just the tighness of it all, mainly screw alignment..... anyway the pics
