The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Ohhhh....I hope they don't do that, have a release of Hicks and Hudson without helmets, and a later second release of them WITH helmets.

That's just greedy.

That Alien warrior, that thing is mind blowing, MID-FOOT ARTICULATION!!!

From the pictures I've seen it looks like it could be both. Hicks and Hudson use them when they enter the complex.

They look fantastic. ;-)

When was Billy Idol in the movie?

Sorry...

Hicks is a little off to me. Mind you McFarlane's attempt at his likeness wasn't any better.

The Neca Hudson is bang-on! And that Warrior is ace!

McFarlane's sculpt is actually bang on, the problem is with the paint. Repainted, it's the spit of Biehn.

I do hope they improve the Hicks sculpt though, nailing Paxton hasn't helped the situation!

I just saw that Hicks and Hudson both have mid-foot articulation too!

The head sculpt for Hicks reminds me of the sniper guy from Saving Private Ryan.

According to this article, there will be several versions of Hudson and Hicks:

Great.

Why don't they do other Marines instead of multiples of the same two?

They released the 'lost' predators from P2 so I'd imagine we'd have the main cast at least (Bishop, Ripley, Newt, maybe the smart gunners and Gorman).

If this small tester of marines was a success I would think they will certainly release others later on.

Neca does this all the time. They re-use many of the same sculpts too make more figures. It's cheaper for them to do so. Even though fans complain, we still buy their products. I am a huge Gears of War fan, and I really notice the re-use of sculpts in that line of figures. But, I buy them anyway because I love Gears. And it will be the same with Aliens. :)

I have just preordered these from forbidden planet. they are listed at £15.79 each and the p&p is about £7.45 total for four figures. I went with 2xhudson, 1xhicks, 1xalien. I will however be checking in another local store I know of which is similar to forbidden planet to see if they are any cheaper and if they can be preordered for pick up in store.

I'm getting one of those Aliens for sure, and maybe two Hudsons: one to keep as-is, and one to modify into a vanity "Private Matzke" action figure. I'll need a different head though! Did folks say NECA figures are often comperable in size? I'll have to see what else is out there for options.

With modified hair (or a damned helmet!) I think NECA's "pre-fight" Ivan Draco from their Rocky series would make a good starting point. Because, you know, I look exactly like Dolph Lundgren 8)

Don't forget there are places that can make a digital printed version of your head in most any size if you submit a few photos of yourself.
