The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

All of the "Alien Vs." cross-overs are what drove me away from collecting/reading ALIENS comics in general.

100% agree, but it just opened the floodgates.

But for action figures this is just as valid as revisiting the Kenner line. The fact that they have finally made a Ryushi Broken Tusk figure is all I care about. That is a figure I have wished for since 1991.

Man, I hope they do that lead female from that same comic.

Machiko Noguchi! Every time someone does a statue of her it turns into a juvenile T&A fantasy. I would love to see NECA present her as a normal human being (like in the original comics).

Agreed!

And they could do two versions, one of her in her all black outfit, or one of her in her Predator outfit.

I'd go for that as well. A comic-accurate Machiko would make a ton of sense. NECA wouldn't even have to pay for any actor likeness rights, so they can't claim that as the reason not to!

On a side note, someone on twitter asked about a "Pulse rifle" version of Vaz, and Randy responded "Chances are good you'll see another version".

Several weeks ago he confirmed more marines were coming, but unlikely in 2017 due to their full slate of figures (Latest series 11, the 'lost wave' of prometheus figures, the pending Resurrection wave, and no doubt more kenner tributes).

Seems in 2018 we should get the "Ops battle" Vaz and hopefully either Drake or Gorman (neither confirmed, but neither directly denied either...Only a vague "Don't be so sure" response when someone opined they would never see more marines within a thread where someone talked about them)

I'm a bit disappointed we wont see anymore marines until next year. I'm not opposed to an Op's battle Vaz, they could pair her with Ops battle Hicks in a two pack or in the same wave.

Applied the decal to my Vasquez last night, worked like a charm. I have two more decals left, if anyone wants one, PM me with your name and address and I'll send you one, first come, first served.

Picked up the Ripley/Newt two pack last night! The Ripley in this set isn't any better then the first version...which I like much more. Newt is pretty nice, even comes with a tiny "Casey".

The lamest part is the tiny limp flame effect...I'm not even going to bother using that.

And the weapons were warped all to hell, but that's nothing a dip in boiling water can't fix.

Is it bad that I'm really excited for the Resurrection wave of figures?

Anyone pick up the Marines 2 pack? Curious about the paint quality on the faces. Mine still hasn't shipped from BBTS.

Me too. I've heard some complaints about the eyes.

I received my two packs today, I ordered two so I could display both the yelling and non yelling heads with their helmets. Only one of my heads has an iffy set of eyes luckily, I was getting pretty worried considering some of the stories I heard where ever single pack at a retailer had wonky eyes.

So for the most part, looks okay? I was thinking about buying two as well. If you have some time, I'd love to see some pics!

For the most part the set is great, my only complaints are that the armor is missing the black wash of the first release and that the weathering on the armor seem's to have been done haphazardly on both my Hudson's shin armor. Both of these are easy fixes though.

On another forum I read someone mention "gummy" weapons (like Frosts Flamethrower) but all the weapons I received are fine. The weapon slings and the piece of armor that hangs from the back of the helmet are a softer plastic though, which works for those parts imo.

Besides the new flesh tone plastic I think the best part is Hudson's more accurate helmet. Even if they didn't paint his helmet band, I'm really glad they fixed all the other parts of it for this release.

I too think the reissue set of Hicks and Hudson is pretty sweet. I have painted the helmet band on my new Hudson and now the figures are close to perfect.

I still wish for removable helmets, though... and maybe a more neutral Hicks head sculpt with the Racal headset. NECA, bring on the rest of the Marines soon! :!:

Here's a pic of Hudson with the helmet band touched up, also a pic of my current army of Marines (minus 2 extra Hickss, 2 extra Hudsons and 2 McFarlane Hicks):
