The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Surely the Arnie is chopper 'insertion' not extraction?
He takes his jacket off well before the "GETTODACHOPPOOR" scene.
Anyway a pretty kick ass figure, NECA will take my money!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Dammit!!!! I am going to end up buying multiples of these, I just know it. One each keep packaged, One each to display and lord help me, who knows how many more to "customize".

That is articulation above and beyond what I could possibly have hoped for!!!

At first I thought they'd built the Motion Tracker with the display on the wrong side!
Then I realised he's just holding if back to front so the sling will work for him holding it in his left hand!

Wow! I had no idea they were going to look THIS good. I know NECA does great work, but I'm stuck with the McFarlane Hicks as my base line.

If a figure comes with double hinged knees, that's usually a sign from the manufacturer that these aren't simply "statues". I'm with bigbisont, if they look this good, are this poseable and have this amount of accessories, I too will need more than one for customs. Although they are not in the pictures, I assume that at least one of them will have a helmet?

It's vain of me, but I want to make a Pvt. Matzke action figure. Looks like this will be the way to make that happen!

But you should make a 1/6th Bigbisont figure.

Shame there is noting in those pictures to give some perspective/scale indications because if the quote below is correct from earlier in this thread no-one will be using these to make 1/6th scale Mini-Me's (more like 1/12th)

Quote:
The 2 Colonial Marines
Aboard the warship Sulaco, Ripley is introduced to a team of Colonial Marines, one of which is Corporal Dwayne Hicks. This year, we’ll bring Hicks to life, fully articulated, at about 7″ tall, along with another Colonial Marine, which we’re not yet ready to reveal the identity of.

Sorry Winch, I was referencing Bigbisont's sweet collection of 1/6th figures (on the other thread) as a better place for him to make a smaller version of himself since he already has them.

Good to know the scale of these though, and 7" is just fine for me!

The Neca Twitter account is posting painted pics! includes a painted hicks, hudson and an Alien Warrior that hypes 30 pts of articulation!

Not sure if its "cool" to post links like that though. Im sure someone here will know how to get it tastefully done!

(No helmets in any of the picks though...)

Always in the back of my mind! But the 1/6th scale is quite a bit more expensive! Time will tell.

I read somewhere that later they will be doing sculpts with helmets.
That'll probably end up being Series 2: Helmeted Hicks/Hudson + Battle Damaged Warrior.

Sorry to double post,

On Neca's website, it states that the Predator Series 8 figures (2 Dutch + Classic Masked Predator) are being released in February, but amazon.com says they are being released April 30.

Should I trust in Neca and disregard what Amazon says?
