Decided to try my hand at making my own steel barrel vent. Used 16 gauge steel. Made It too wide at first so I split it down the middle making two halves. This removed enough material so that it is now 40 mm wide. I used the measurements and plans found on here (I think it was Bugstomper who created the plans. Hope he doesent mind.) I cut the vent and what I call the vent frame out in two sections. This will give me the recessed look that allthe barrel vents have. I used a dremel tool lots of cutting wheels a drill and an air file. still have some cleanup work but Im Halfway there. The pics will explain what Im talking about.
