I know that each and everyone of us, USCMs, are specialized in certain areas. I, for one, am a physician, so you may call me the medic of the platoon, if you like, but I'm sure there are other marines out there specialized in electronics, and so I'm throwing this question to you, guys: does anyone out there recognize what type of circuit board was used on the infamous Hudson "bypass scene" pouch?. I've done several searches in the web, and found nothing like it, so I'm now asking this to you, 'cause I'm certain as the day is day that you'll come up with an answer. I'm asking this, because now I'm trying to have my Hudson armour complete with this last item (not an easy task, being outside of the U.S., and the U.K. - Thanks heavens for Internet and e-Bay-, but a fascinating one), and I want it to be 100% screen accurate. |

Hmm. I remember some great screen caps in a thread quite a while ago. Not sure if it's in the archive, I'll have a look. That one didn't turn up any identifications. From what I remember there were no identifying marks on the PCB. It could be almost anything. |

The board has yet to be found..or identified at that matter...we did, however, notice a few other things that we could make out..like the Spanner wrenches on the left side. I am actually trying to build the "hack" pouch...I have a few pieces collected already..Ive just been so busy with work lately though..but I will do it soon;) Oh, and it was our beloved FNG that did the clear calculator....man I miss him:( Derek Pvt. What!!!. FNG is MIA?!!!!! I surely volunteer on the mission to retrieve it!. He's one of the best guys I've ever had the luck to know (too bad that I'm in Spain and I cannot meet him in person). The same happens to me: I'm trying to build my own "hack" pouch, and I've, inf act, been able to identify most of the pieces, however, the circuit board seems to be the most elusive for me, being the obsessive type of person I am in regards to my Hudson armour: I'm striving for complete accuracy, no less!. |

Yeah, the contents on the two outer panels are fairly easy. I've got most of them. The middle one is the pain. I think the keypad is from a Buttset from the 80's. Proportionally the size makes sense (I have a buttset myself from my alarm tech days). I'm waiting for my Superswitch (microwave sensor version) to arrive. I'm wondering how the circuits look inside. As for the pouch itself, STAY TUNED... I've collected all the accurate materials to make some pouches. (Even the correct Herringbone pattern binding) I'm hoping to have a sample to show you guys by the end of the month. |

Dear mnoble2: Same here: it's the central compartment the one which is really giving me headaches. I agree that the rest of the items are not very difficult to identify and locate. I'd surely want to see the pouches you are making POST!. POST!. POST!. How will you solve the circuit board problem?. Maybe the innards of the alarm key pad will strike some light... |

I will post some picts when it's ready. As for the keypad, The IEI keypad is definitely possible. I installed some of these back in the day. The good news is the ribbon cables next to it, and the two smaller green pcbs below it, may belong to the keypad. IEI keypads had these types of components. (at least back in the early 90's) |

The two "headphone" pieces on the right side are the sensors from the pulse. |
