Havent been able to do much lately but i have started making the barrel vent. Using 16 gauge steel. Pushing the limits of my bending brake. Cage is 40 mm wide, somehow made mine almost 50 mm wide. To fix this I will cut the cage in half lengthwise then mount both halves on another peice of steel. Probably need to take about an eighth or a quarter of an inch. Also been looking for a short mag but the ones i have seen are rather expensive so Im making my own. My Cyma came with a metal mag which i have taken apart. The mag is the one with the winding wheel. Once apart i was able to shorten the mechanism by removing a couple of screws then reasembling it. Once i have the shroud in place Ill know how short to make the mag for sure. Here are some pics.
