Hey Marine's
Being on the quest to find some long forgotten tins of Humbrol Brown Bess sitting in the back of some hobby store, but having no luck, and considering the fact that down here in OZ I can't find Aervoe 999 anywhere. I tried Tamiya XF-51, but it didn't rock my boat, so to speak, so I delved as deep as I could to find an alternative. I searched and searched the net and found a little something, supposed information to Humbrol's blend for ye olde 170......
150 Matt Forest Green - 32 drops
60 Matt Scarlet - 7 drops
25 Matt Blue - 6 drops
34 Matt White - 3 drops
Well, I thought I'd give it a try, it looks pretty good to me. Due to the fact that people's monitors are different, I had to put it with something for a conparison so I did a rough swatch of it next to XF-51 to give you an idea of what it looks like and I did it in different lighting conditions.........

My apologies if this has already been discussed, I did look, but couldn't find a reference to it, so I hope this may help in some way and I've managed to contribute something new
Cheers,
