The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Been looking at a "basic 2 point rifle sling" by Viper....

Anyone got a proven alternative?

Thanks guys.

It's not canon, but for CONvergence I wanted a sling I could alternate between two-point and single point. Two point was easier to carry, but single point looks better in photos and also allows more versatility in handling the gun.

I had tried the Condor bunjee single-point, but the PR put too much weight on it to be worthwhile.

The sling I opted for was the MagPul MS2. I use these with real guns all the time and really like them.

The PR, in any form, is pretty heavy, so I recommend something of good quality that can make carrying the gun comfortable.

To mount the sling, I installed two sling attachments on the shroud, one just in front of the stock, and one just before the barrel shroud. Held the weight perfectly.

I'll try and find some pics.

Yeah, I opted for one of Matts. I've heard good things about his work, and when you are chucking a fair amount of cash into a pulse rifle, you really have to make sure the thing keeping it safe is good quality too.

This is why I avoided my first choice for a sling, Parcel tape.

I have 2 of Matts slings (1 for PR & 1 for MT), but was looking at getting a third. Was also wondering if he could make one a bit longer.

ALL of Matts projects that I have jumped on were EXCELLENT quality.

Just wasn't sure what RPF was.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Send me a PM if you want to get on the RPF run.

I'm not posting it here, because I don't want to have too many open runs of stuff.

I received the clips already.

Webbing and slides were sent via container from China.

Boat arrives at the port on Monday.

These should be rolling soon if materials are correct.

One doesn't want to sound like an arse licker, but with Noble's stuff you shouldn't be worried about price, as the item itself is well worth the cost. 8)

SA and built to last is what the sling is. That's what's important, IMHO. 8)

In a perfect world, sure. but as a student I have to live on about 200 pounds of spare money a term. I don't want to spend half of that on a pulse sling. needless to say, I'm on the list anyway, his prices are incredibly reasonable.

I have one of his slings and while I haven't yet gotten another pulse rifle to clip it to, the quality is top notch and anybody wanting one would do themselves a disservice not to jump on one of his sling runs!
