So I've sourced the Kango, hama, jobo, shutter release, but like many, can't get the 'pump thingy' on the front. Is there a modern equivalent lookey-likey, or does someone do a resin copy? Also, other than printing off a flat keypad, is there an equivalent cheap item, such as a childs toy that has been found to do the same? Am really looking forward to starting on this, when the parts start arriving ![]() Martin 'Somerset' Fox ![]() |

Quote: Quote:the 'pump thingy' on the front You mean "at the back". If it's at the front then you're holding your tracker the wrong way up. ![]() There was a 'discovery' made around here several months ago, which was going to lead to a group buy or something... I don't know what happened to that. Mike <span style="font-family:times new roman;font-size:x-small;]"We're not heroes - we're from Finchley" |

I had a resin copy of the "pump thingy" that I purchased from someone here, but the seller is long gone. I can tel you from personal experience that buying on eo fthe MR motion trackers is a much better deal. Not only is it actually cheaper than buying all the source parts, but it comes completely finished and with lights and sound. I had all the parts to build one myself, but calculated the total price and found that an MR MT was the better way to go, so I sold all the parts I had. Not only was I able to afford an MR MT, but I also had about $150-200 left over. |

But there's a huge ammount of satisfaction gained by building from scratch using original parts that I just can't find from a ready made replica. I'm sure many people feel the same. ![]() Who was it that identified that aneriod housing (pump widget)? The group purchase seemed to either die a death or is still on a back burner somewhere, but I would think there should be sufficient interest to mold one. |

It was found by an aquantaince of Dacrates. I was fortunate enough to jump in fast and buy all of his original parts when he sold them including the pump widget thingy. It was identified as part of some hospital equipment but I think that was about as far as the identification went. As far as the group purchase, I believe they were unable to source anymore of them. True, building it yourself can be fun, I just didn't want to do it. |

As I am a nurse, and work in a remote Primary Care facility,I am in contact with all types of medical equipment. One piece was a portable sphygmomanometer (blood pressure machine). I used it for about two years before the above thread. So I pulled this thing to pieces and low and behold I held a original (you know what I mean) widget pump thingy. Now there is a team of people who service all our medical equipment,so I have sent my pump thingy off with one of them to identify the part and who produces it, cost etc. It may take a little while but I will get back with the relevant info. The sphygomo is called an Assess Sphygmomanometer. Iain |

What is an assess sphygmomanometer used for? I ask because the normal range is 20-300mmHg. However, your's has a range of 20-150mmHg. Cheers, Stefan |
