Yes!!
YOU!!!

That's right – lot's of you guys are in this film so if you haven't already been over to our Facebook page please head over there and click on the 'Like' button. The fan numbers on there will really help us with promoting the film. And that's really important because later this year we'll be trying to nail down a distribution deal.

So come on guys – we're nearly at 300 fans!

I'm currently adapting the intro and a sequence near the end of the film to incorporate 'Prometheus'. This will make it more relevant and attractive to TV because they'll be crying out for content running up to that movie's release.

Since it is a film about the fan culture, we encourage fans to post photos and any Alien related info, stories, etc.
The Aliens Legacy is specifically named (and shown) so it's something to get behind.

We have said we'll be posting clips (mostly deleted scenes are unused clips so not to spoil the finished version) and these will be continuing soon. The next clip to go up will be this weekend and it will be footage from DCon, just before the march. Look out for yourself!

This film has been an age in the making and I'll be so happy when it's done. It's been more work than I'd ever imagined and it would be a terrible shame if nothing came of it. But I will stand up and say I think it's pretty good and that we are in with a shot of it going somewhere. It just needs some promotional work on our side of the fence and any loving support we can get from our bro's here on the Legacy board.

You'll only be able to view it on Facebook and you'll have to 'Like' the page first.

A newer version will be shown but more will still be filmed during the rest of the year, more actors, etc. It will feel like a completed film but no, it won't be the final version. Be good to see you marine!

There is now a clip from DCon (the gathering before the march itself), which is a longer version than the one that appears in the final film.
This version will appear in an extended cut made just for you guys here. :delta:
If you were at DCon 2008 (or 2009 at the Michael Beihn presentation) there's a fair chance you're in the film.

Oh you're in it a lot though, mate! Please don't repost the video though guys – if you want to show your friends send them a link to to the Alien Encounters page instead.
The whole point of posting the videos is to get people to 'Like' the page, so please don't post the link on your own Facebook pages.

Yeah, that's best Steve. Thanks by the way. Faceboob seems to have a bit of a flaw there - it's easy to share a video but not by taking you to a particular page. If anyone knows how to share directly to a page (exclusively) please let Paul, Gareth or I know.

May I make a humble suggestion for additional footage?

Have an AE run through filmed with some dim lights on, so the camera can pick up on the action?

I filmed it amateur hour style in the dark. Came across pretty well as it's as confusing as actually being involved. an AE run with the lights dimly on would ruin it somewhat :p

Sandy, have you identified specific failings with the AE sequence as it is? ADC spent literally weeks of work to get the sequence in the film correct, dramatic and sufficiently confusing/easy to follow; up to and including editing frame-by-frame to remove strobe artefacts. Also, the cameras used that weekend all those years ago were pretty damn sensitive.

Aside from the very first DVD from 2006 and Jakes from last year, I've not seen any film, so I wouldn't know.

Of course, if there is a run through filmed and well processed by ADC already, then my idea is superfluous.
I was just sounding out loud, in case it had not been done.
