Aliens Sat: 8:00 pm 1986, USA/UK, 35mm, 137 minutes Schedules permitting, actors Michael Biehn, Lance Henriksen, Jenette Goldstein and Mark Rolston, and producer Gale Anne Hurd will appear IN PERSON at the Saturday screening!" I knew somebody wouldn't let this go by! Tickets are not yet on sale, but I suspect they'll go fast. Plus, you get to see THE TERMINATOR beforehand with your ticket, as New Bev is a double feature theater! A great deal at $7! Now to keep checking for getting tickets... I will for sure be buying tickets and going this theater is only bout 45 minutes away from me, do any other Local So Cali marines, want to meet up before the show in costume or anything? Edit: Found the site and the location of the theater |

Sorry I forgot to post the listing, chevyh0tr0d. I'll add it to my above post. As a regular attendee of the New Beverly, getting there early would be suggested. Since the ticket covers two movies. I'd come in advance and catch THE TERMINATOR to keep your seat. Parking can be problematic depending on the event as it's mostly residential. Cash only, though as they'll likely sell-out of tickets before the event, this is mostly for the snack bar. They do have a stand-by line most of the times. It's been revamped over the past few years so it's really a great place to see movies. Last thing I saw was FLASH GORDON/CONAN THE BARBARIAN and they were in beautiful shape. Hope this helps. |

For those journeying to the area, It should be noted that the weekend of the event is the closedown of the 405 between the 101 and the 10. Some are referring to it as "Car-ocalypse" but I think it won't be as apocalyptic as some believe. But it may have an effect on driving that weekend, even in the Hollywood area. Well I will be there for sure in my BDU'S and motion tracker, not sure if I should bring my HGC PR,might get hassled by security or the cops. Also Matsuo is currently painting my armor so I will be with out that. |

lol, I think it's gonna be worse...! It's already a nightmare - shutting it down is gonna be, well, carmageddon or whatever they're calling it. Even if 90 percent of the traffic stayed home (which they won't), can you imagine 90 percent trying to go over Sepulveda? Or Coldwater or Laurel? Ugh... |

I know it's a cliche that Americans live and die by their vehicles* but I'm surprised you're not going Willie, as five miles is easily walkable for such a one off event.  *Saw a quote from a film/tv star the other day which said something like this: "My latest part is filmed at a studio less than half a mile from my house, but this is L.A./Hollywood, so I drive there!" |

Hah, well, five miles as the crow flies - I'm in the Valley and the screening's "over the hill" - meaning big ass mountain range that makes up those 5 miles... A lot of L.A. is basically bisected by the thing which makes getting around such a nightmare. Plus I live right in Sherman Oaks which is exactly where they're shutting off the highway... |

I hate to ask but does anyone in the L.A. who is not going to this have a set of armor I could borrow for this. Or does any marine who is going to this have a extra set of armor I could borrow. I ask as Matsuo is still currently painting mine. I thought it might help represent the AL. I promise to treat the armor with great care and respect, will pick up from you at your convenience and will return as soon as Sunday July 17th.If someone does PM me and we can talk over details Thanks in advance Andrew |

I'll be there with a couple buddies. Braving the carmegeddon and driving down from the bay area. My friend lives in Studio City and only about 7 miles from the New Beverly Cinema. I am hoping that makes a difference and we don't get stuck in too much traffic on 170. Gonna leave early though regardless. |

Last Minute Update from Rumor Control: According to NewBev, they will be opening the theater at 4:30pm for the 5:30pm showing of THE TERMINATOR. It's likely a lineup to pickup tickets will start earlier (if not already) Traffic looks good into Hollywood, so I'll be heading out there shortly myself in my Sulaco cap, OD green shirt and tags (One day I'll have armor and Pulse Rifle... one day). Time to get on the Ready Line, Marines! Hope to see you there! |
