Hi All,

Well whilst I sit tight & await the rest of my Colonial Marine gear (spat-armour & MAA 2pat) to arrive,I`ve started giving my Resin PR some TLC.

I`ve dremelled the vents out in the stock & also in the front Spas section (well 4 on each side). I`ve dremelled out the shroud to Spas body part. The 8 vents I`ve dremelled out too.Lastly just dremelled the sight in the shroud.

I`ve made 3 plates to attache to the PR & screwed them in place.
Lastly (so far) I`ve added a mount for a torch on the side of the shroud.

Still a fair bit of work to go,though wanted to show what I`ve done yesterday & this AM
Thinking remove the whole barrel section & place a steel/brass rod instead,redo the GL hole. Add brackets for a sling to be hooked upto it & another mount for a laser aimer.
Of course repaint the whole thing too.

Make sure you weather it good. Add in some scratch marks!

Those plates can make all the difference to a resin PR IMHO.

looking great so far! are you gunna be painting the shroud brown bess? god damn i love PR's.

Looking great. Keep us posted with your progress.

BTW - if you are shooting for greater accuracy, the plate on the forward end of the magazine base should only have two screws. (centered horizontally) This is not too terribly important, just pointing that out.

Dremeling is a blast.

You will need an additional plate on the rear
side of the magwell by the trigger.

I personally wouldn't put the rear upper plate.
It isn't necessary,and wasn't on the original ones
as far as I know.

I'd also put a small radius on all the plates.

As for colour of the shroud mmmmm I`m undecided to go either Brown Bess/OD or Black.
Matt`s Black PRs make it hard NOT to have that type of PR...LOL

Damn your right about the front magwell plate & that was my intention,worse part is I`m using a ton of printout ref pics of PRs from here,your site,movie & net. I went auto on the plates & did 4 instead of as you said 2. I`ll redo the plate methinks
Not too sure if I`m going screen accuracy,though something akin to that with some creative touches wouldn`t hurt now
Main part is make the resin PR better till I can afford a better PR.

Also all plates have a small radius? how small?

Yep, one is definately needed. I've a ton of latex to trim and clean for my Pred costume

Is there any reason why you added the flashlight mount on the outside, rather than perhaps placing it in the "barrel" of the Grenade launcher? Just curious. Otherwise looks good!

Thank`s mate & the reason for the mount being attached to the shroud rather than the fore.
Well I did that to be on the side of caution. What with the dremelling the fore has taken & what not,I wanted the weight of the torch to be safe,so the shroud is it.
I`ve never used a resin item of this size before to customize,so I`m playing it safe at the moment. Though who know`s I may try fore mounting the torch someday.

I do plan on a laser aimer to be on the fore though.

Add that I do plan on getting a shoulder lamp sometime,the torch mount isn`t that important for the future,just moreso now it is....lol

Well next batch of photos.

I was hoping to do more alas the weather has forced me inside
Too dusty to do this inside & don`t have a workbench in my garage yet It`s full of outdoor toys & bikes,etc for the girls.

Anyway I did redo the plate on the slant foreward mag well & also added the rear plate on the magwell.
I have also sanded off the resin GL protruding bit (as you can see it wasn`t a circle shape) & cut a metal barrel to fit.

On that,which do you guys think works better,having only the protruding end of the barrel in metal or as you can see from these dry run photos,placing that whole tube in.

Well please LMK what you think to the GL tube & also if that metal tube looks about right too. I think it does.

I`m currently sorting out a metal tube for the 10mm barrel whilst the weather is crappy.

looks damn nice so far! and i reckon putting the whole metal tube in is best.

Well here`s another update.
Was able to get a hr or so from baby duties

I`ve now removed the resin 10mm barrel & done a dry fit of the metal one (needs cutting down though).

Also added more cosmetics to the shroud to look more like a Pulse rifle.

So as you can see the RED section is from an old telescope (mine when I was a kid,now knackered) & the black have is a metal tube i came across & thought that would fit.

As said it needs cosmetics but hey a Launcher none the less

Well been busy with family & stuff & finally got time to play on the PR a little more

I`ve now secured the metal barrels in place. I`ve also cut the section for the grenades to be loaded underneath & added sling hoops. Also filled the shell with expanding foam.

Just a couple of little things then this bad girl is getting stripped & painted.Also add a silver plate to the cut out bottom.
